E-file taxes for a faster return
Filing taxes online could cut down on cost and time
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Internal Revenue Service is still processing 2019 taxes. As a result, they are encouraging the public to file their 2020 taxes online to avoid unnecessary delays. The tax deadline has been extended this year to May 17, to give tax filers more time to prepare their tax forms.
Additional tax credit options have been added to help taxpayers get the maximum benefit possible.
"Tax software can help you identify credits and deductions that you’re potentially eligible for. And this year in particular… it has a new credit which is called the Recovery Rebate Credit for those who are eligible for the economic impact payments," says IRS Media Relations Representative David Tucker II.
Individuals with an income of $72,000 or less can file their taxes for free through IRS affiliates. For more details visit the IRS website.
