2017 High School Food Bowl Drive

The annual High School Food Bowl Drive is right around the corner and local high schools will be able to help those in need.

The food will be collected at high school football games every Friday night during high school football season.

Here’s a list of the Food Bowl schedule:

Sept. 22th Yuma vs. Kofa

Sept. 28th San Luis (Sugar Bowl, Seniors vs. Juniors)

Sept. 29th Cibola vs. Valley Vista

Oct. 6th Gila Ridge vs. Buckeye Union

Oct. 20th Kofa vs. Lee Williams

The school who donates the most food (by weight) will be presented with a trophy and bragging rights, at the celebration party at Native Grill & Wings for pizza and drinks on Nov 1st. This celebration will be presented “live” on the ABC-5 Evening News. All schools are encouraged to attend.

The Food Bowl has collected thousands of pounds of food that have all benefited hundreds of less-fortunate families through the Yuma County Community Food Bank.
