Multi-state conversation explores voting from home, voter suppression
Discussion to feature AZ Secretary of State Katie Hobbs
YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Progressive voter organizing group Vote From Home USA (VFH) is hosting a virtual event on Zoom Monday, April 26, at 4 p.m. to discuss the most recent voter suppression bills and threats to voting access in key battleground states.
VFH harnesses grassroots power from around the country to run legislative and election-based campaigns, in order to target states that are at risk of rollbacks to voting rights.
The event will convene elected officials from VFH's priority states - Arizona, Georgia and Iowa - to take a deep dive into all the legislation introduced in 2021, which bills passed and what has the power to impact turnout in 2022 and beyond.
The zoom session is expected to feature Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, Georgia State Representative Kimberly Alexander and Iowa State Senate Minority Leader Zach Wahls, in addition to VFH National Chairperson and Governor of Oregon Kate Brown.
