Woman arrested after driving under the influence on Austin Road
California Highway Patrol arrested a woman after driving under the influence in El Centro, Calif. earlier this week.
According to a witness, a gray Mini Cooper, which was being driven recklessly, passed and nearly collided with their vehicle on Monday.
At one point, the Mini Cooper ran off the roadway and came to a stop on the shoulder.
The driver, Dawn R. Johnson of Potrero, Calif., exited her vehicle and jumped into the nearby canal.
A CHP officer arrived on scene and assisted Johnson out of the canal by using a buoy.
After the incident was investigated, Johnson was arrested for driving under the influence.
