Woman lighting cigarette causes car explosion

ORLANDO, Florida- A Florida couple is in the hospital after a woman accidentally blew up her vehicle by lighting a cigarette.

The incident happened Sunday after the couple left a barbeque. The lady was transporting a propane grill that had the switch turned on.

Both people sustained non-life-threatening burns, however their Kia Sorrento was severely damaged. The windows were all blown out after the car went off the road, crashing into a pole.

The couple’s Kia Sorrento, on the other hand, was badly damaged. All of its windows were blown out in the blast

The car then traveled off the road and crashed into a pole, police said.

Police did not respond for comment.
