Topic of the Day: Maverick lives up to his name

Arizona Senator John McCain reminded the country why they refer to him as “Maverick”. The senator was recently diagnosed with a form of brain cancer, he then proceeded to have surgery to remove the tumor and while some asked for the veteran politician to step down he went back to D.C. and voted on the latest attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The latest version would take out portions of the ACA like the employer and citizen mandates. True to his name Senator John McCain stunned members of his party when he walked to the front of the Senate floor and gave his vote by giving a thumbs down.
