Evening closures coming to 24th Street for gas line repairs
Southwest Gas will be performing emergency repairs to a gas line and will have evening closures.
24th Street with be closed between the east side of Walnut Avenue and the west side of Arizona Avenue from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 26 through Friday, July 28. It will reopen for daytime traffic each day.
A detour will be available for local traffic via Walnut and 23rd Street.
City of Yuma urges motorists who normally use 24th Street to take 32nd Street or 16th Street instead.
Arizona Avenue itself will remain open with lane width reductions and turns will only be allowed to eastbound 24th Street.
