Topic of the Day: Tis the season

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

It’s Mother Nature at her best, as the seasons change so does our environment. For some it’s the gentle change in the color of the leaves and for others it’s a dip in temps. Here in the Desert Southwest the change in seasons is very subtle but noticeable. The mercury usually tests the height of the thermometer and with the warm air comes Monsoon Season.

At it’s calmest Monsoon Season lights up the skies with an array of thunderhead clouds and lightning floowed by the roar of thunder. But, at it’s fiercest it can cause high winds, dense dust storms and flooding. Although the showers are crucial for desert life, it can also be deadly.

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts:

Are you prepared for the severe weather during Monsoon Season?
