Man caught driving with pot wax, a firearm and $70K in cash

A man was arrested after U.S. Border Patrol agents and Riverside County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) deputies found marijuana wax, drug paraphernalia, a loaded firearm and a Ziploc bag containing $70,000.

Agents pulled over a the man driving a 2016 Hyundai in the Lovekin Boulevard and Rice Street at around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Agents questioned the 21-year-old driver, and called for a RCSO K-9 officer who then found the contraband.

The driver, a U.S. citizen, was arrested.
