Final management conference delayed for former Gila Ridge High School teacher

Former Gila Ridge High School teacher John Rodenburg appeared in Superior Court Wednesday morning. His case was set for its final management conference, but that conference has been postponed until July. According to Defense Attorney Michael Donovan, the extension was needed after an internal delay.

It was early March when Rodenburg was arrested on allegations of kidnapping and aggravated luring of a minor for sexual exploitation. According to the Yuma Police Department, Rodenburg allegedly took an underage female across state lines to Utah in November last year. Police say Rodenburg had motives of sexual relations without consent.

John Rodenburg pleaded ‘not guilty’ to charges of: sexual conduct with a minor, sending harmful internet material to a minor, luring a minor for sexual exploitation, and custodial interference.

Rodenburg’s final management conference has been moved to July 12. Stay with us on News 11 as we continue to follow this case.
