Woman dead following rollover crash

The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department said a female driver is dead after rolling over in her truck and crashing against a fence.

Firefighters responded to the area of County 14 th and Avenue F for a vehicle rollover at 2:46 a.m. Tuesday. Arriving SCFD personal found a Ford F150 with severe damage. It was unknown the direction of travel but the truck rolled and crashed against the fence of an agriculture shop, resting next to an irrigation canal.

An employee of the shop heard the load noise and came to investigate and found the accident and called 911. The only occupant was ejected from the truck and landed inside the empty irrigation canal.

The occupant was a 34-year-old female patient and was pronounced dead on scene. The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has identified her as Sonia Burgos Salazar. YCSO is investigating the accident.
