On Tuesday , the 2018 Budget will be introduced and already representatives on both sides are criticizing some of the proposed cuts being presented. According to the White House the proposed cuts will net the country $1.7 trillion over the next 10-years. Early details to the severe cuts to welfare, farm subsidies, medicaid and federal employee pensions. With regards to welfare the budget calls for a 25-percent cut in food stamps that will net $193 billion and for those still receiving benefits there will be stricter guidelines including additional work requirements. The current food stamp program assists 42 million people.
