Arizona Water Contamination: Fact or fiction?

A recent article by ‘AZ Central’ states that Arizona residents are in danger of drinking contaminated water, but a former county official in Yuma is saying otherwise. The Natural Resources Defense Council reports that more than one-third of Arizona’s population is getting drinking water from a utility or company that violates federal drinking-water regulations. The report was found by the Natural Resources Defense Council. However, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality says that 98.4 percent of Arizona residents are served by water systems that are free of health violations; Which in turn makes the report from NDRC seem invalid. The NDRC report also said Pinal county, which is located just two and half hours from Yuma ranked number two in violations among the state’s ten largest water systems with at least one violation, number one was in Tucson, Arizona.
