Spirit Airlines has joined the list of shamed airlines after thousands of travelers were left stranded, all because of what’s been described as poor negotiations with their pilots.
On Monday, a brawl between travelers and security broke out at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International after the airline cancelled yet another flight.
In the past seven days Spirit Airlines has reported the cancellation of 300 flights. According to the airline they’re accusing the pilots and their union of deliberately creating a slowdown.
According to published reports Spirit is accusing pilots of refusing to fly and even intimidating other pilots that are willing to fly. The Airline Pilots Association denies the allegations and wants to settle any issues on the negotiating table. Until then, those looking to fly Spirit may be throwing their chances up in the air.
