Police officers respond to shots fired

Yuma Police Department officers responded to two incidents of shots fired early Monday morning.

Officers said they were called out to the 1200 block of South Fifth Street for shots fired at around 2:20 a.m. for the first incident.

A witness allegedly heard three guns shots. Officers said they found a car with damage in that neighborhood.

The second incident happened at 5 a.m., when a witness heard noises and then a “pop”.

However, officers weren’t called out to the 1900 block of South Third Street until 7:53 a.m. where they found a damaged home and car.

Officers said there is no description on who fired the weapon.
