4th Ave Construction may finally be coming to an end

Residents of Yuma may finally see some of the construction on 4th ave come to an end. The construction that started over a year ago is said to be the biggest construction overhaul Yuma has seen in almost 10 years. Dave Nash, the Public Affairs Officer of Yuma explains what locals can expect to see in the next coming days. “Wednesday and Thursday of this week, crews are going to be moving traffic back into those inside lanes. There will be through traffic, it wont be like Monday or Tuesday, where they made you make right turns. You will be able to go through the intersection and also make turns at the intersection as needed,” said Nash. Nash also adds that this week they are laying down the asphalt. The last part of the construction will include lane stripping and while that does take a month to settle, people will be able to drive on the road in the next week or two, seeing an almost complete intersection.
