YPD creates a Traffic Safety video for social media

Traffic safety is among the top concerns in Yuma County and while there has been an increase in traffic related violations, YPD felt the need to do something about it thru social media.

“We get random complaints, you know about driving habits around town, people not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign or a red light; People not having their headlights on. People not using their turn signals is a big one. We just decided to put together a fun video that would kind of reintroduce some basic traffic laws or features on your car that would help you to not get pulled over by the police,” said Sergeant Lori Franklin.

Having it be the beginning of spring, where more people are out and about, this video was meant to help those that may have those general questions that many are too embarrassed to ask. For more information, you can head to the Yuma Police Departments Facebook page and watch the video for yourself.
