Storm Watch: Storm knocks down power lines
Firefighters with the Yuma Fire Department were called out to Yuma’s North End near 1st Avenue and Colorado Street for reports of downed power lines. The lines had sparked and ignited nearby trees; crews were able to contain the lines and stop the fire from spreading. Crews from Arizona Public Service were also on scene to make repairs. No word if any homes were affected.
