During the Hollywood premiere of the movie they closed two blocks. Watson says she wanted her character to be more “authentic” telling CNN in an interview, “My Belle wears riding boots, and she’s got mud on her, and she has bloomers underneath her dress so she can kick her legs over a horse, and she’s got these big pockets we created for her so she can carry books around with her all the time.”

Watson made headlines for declining to wear a corset in the role making sure to not set an un-realistic expectations for girls across the world.

“You see (Belle) teaching another girl to read in the (movie), which is a scene that I really, really love,” Watson said to CNN continuing. “And you see a very tender side of Bell in this film. I think she’s very strong and very tender.”
