Motorcyclist dead following local crash
One person is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle in Yuma Thursday. The Yuma Police Department said at approximately 6:07 a.m. officers responded to the scene on 32 nd Street at Avenue 7E.
YPD said the initial investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee, heading eastbound, was making a left hand turn onto Avenue 7E when it collided with the motorcycle. The motorcycle, a Honda sport bike, was traveling westbound on 32 nd Street. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
A portion of 32 nd Street was shut down while the case was being investigated. This case is still under investigation.
