Not long ago, American’s top fear was an impending attack from the former Soviet Union. When the “Cold War” ended the country pushed on; but now Russia has made it’s way back to the top of the country’s worries.
A fear that has haunted President Donald J. Trump’s Administration since taking office. Over the weekend, another relic from that era was re-introduced, McCarthyism. President Trump unleashed a barrage of tweets accusing former President Barrack Obama of McCarthyism; alleging his predecessor used his power to place wire taps on President Trump’s phone lines during the election.
In one of his tweets President Trump posted “How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!”. Former President Obama has denied the allegations and according to reports an investigation is underway.
