Stabbing sends victim to the hospital; local police investigate

Local police are investigating an incident that sent a man to the hospital Wednesday night in Yuma.

The Yuma Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance in the 1900 block of South First Avenue just before 10:30 p.m.

When police arrived on scene, they found the victim, a 25-year-old male, stabbed in his back.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is said to be in stable condition.

Police say there is currently no lead on a suspect, but they are working with the victim and witnesses for further information.
