Kofa student athlete signs with Northern Arizona!
For the past 3 years, Abbey Jensen has become a tremendous difference maker for the Kofa Kings in both girls volleyball and basketball; establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with on the court.
Just coming off her final season with the volleyball team, Jensen has left her mark as possibly one of the most dominant middle blockers in program history.
She has amassed 298 kills, 56 blocks and 32 digs in 2016 alone; and taking in an impressive kill percentage of .480.
Jensen has also solidified herself as an all-state athlete by notching a hitting percentage of .463, which is #1 in Arizona amongst all prep volleyball athletes.
In her Junior season with the girls basketball team, Jensen has average 13 points and 12 rebounds a game.
Now, the fruits of her labor have culminated with her decision to sign a letter of intent with the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks women’s basketball team.
Kings head volleyball coach Brittany Garcia tells News 11 Sports the Lumberjacks program is getting a valuable asset in Jensen:
“She’s a great athlete. Not only is she a great athlete, she’s a great student. She’s so strong out there on the court. She lifts her teammates up. So, she’s everything you’re going to want in an athlete.”
Before going to NAU next fall, Jensen will suit up for her final basketball season at Kofa beginning on November 22nd.
