Level three sex offender change of address

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said a registered sex offender convicted of sexual assault in 2007 has a new address.

YCSO said 42-year-old Lewis Farnsworth now lives in the 8300 Block of S. Avenue 4 ½ E in Yuma, Ariz.

On May 25 , 2007, Farnsworth was convicted by the Yuma County Superior Court of Sexual Assault. His victim was a 29-year-old woman who was known to him. He was sentenced to 10 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections. Farnsworth is currently on parole with the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Farnsworth is a Level 3 sex offender with a high risk to reoffend.

Sex offenders are categorized in three levels based on the risk that they pose to the community to reoffend.

— Level 1 – low risk

— Level 2 – intermediate risk

— Level 3 – high risk
