Fugitive wanted for sexually assaulting minor may be in Arizona

(KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- A 24-year-old man who is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in Sacramento, Calif., may be hiding out in Arizona.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said on June 14 a felony arrest warrant was issued for Jose Arturo Navarrete Jr.

Navarrette was charged with four counts of Lewd or Lascivious Act with a child under 14, three counts of Sext Act with a child ten years old or younger, and four counts of oral sex with a child ten years old or younger.

On August 22, a federal warrant was issued for Navarrete after he avoided criminal proceedings.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for his arrest.

The FBI said Navarette was last seen in Texas and may be in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, or Mexico.
