Celebrating 100 years of service

12th Annual YSWCA Golf Tournament

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY, KWST)- The 12th Annual Yuma Southwest Contractor's Association Golf Tournament kicked off Friday at the Desert Hills Golf Course in Yuma.

The theme of the event was celebrating 100 years of service. Those who attended and took part in the golf tournament wore red in honor of military members who currently serve or have served in the past.

The military free-fall instructors from the Yuma Proving Grounds made a special appearance, dropping 6,000 feet from the sky to their pinpoint target at the golf course.

Proceeds collected from the event will benefit a number of local organizations including the Crossroads Mission, Toys for Tots, Child Burn Survivor, Humane Society of Yuma, American Legion Post 19, and The Young Families of MCAS among others.
