Ex-trooper accused of sexual exploitation out of jail
The former Arizona state trooper accused of propositioning and sexually harassing female drivers is out on bail.
Azfamily.com reports Tremaine Jackson was released from jail Thursday night.
A judge initially set his bond at $150,000, then lowered it to $50,000.
Jackson’s been in custody since September 10 when he was arrested numerous charges including sexual abuse, attempted sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation.
The ex-trooper spent 13-years with the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Most recently he was assigned to motorcycle patrol in the Phoenix area.
Investigators say Jackson targeted female drivers, pulled them over, then told them they could avoid a ticket by performing sexual favors. They also say he falsified documents to cover his misdeeds.
So far 15 women have come forward to accused Jackson of misconduct.
