Key dates for Imperial County Voters
CBS 13's Alexandra Rangel tells you what you need to know to cast your ballot.
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Imperial County Voters started receiving mail-in ballots this week for the November 2020 election.
According to the Imperial County Registrar of Voters about 81,000 ballots were sent out to registered voters.
They say it's an increase in voter participation compared to previous elections.
Seven drop-off locations are now open across the county at each city hall. With the exception of El Centro. This year the only El Centro drop-off is at the county.
Many voters are already casting their vote. Some are looking for change, others are looking for experience.
“I tend to vote with the incumbent because they’ve learned on the job already," said Lewis Blumberg.
The county’s registrar of voters is encouraging voters to turn in their ballots as soon as possible.
