Road closure scheduled for Avenue 3E

Some upcoming construction could affect your commute if you live or work on or around Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.

Let’s take a look at where the work will happen and when.

November 18-22, 2019

Underground utility work will close Avenue 3E between MCAS Yuma’s north and south gates from November 18-22.

Detours will include Avenue 3 1/2E between 32nd and 40th Streets. Base traffic without a pass should take Avenue 3 1/2E to 40th Street and then follow the detour signs to the south gate.

November 23, 2019

Beginning November 23, the MCAS north gate will close for work on the sidewalks .

November 25, 2019 – TBA

Reconstruction on Avenue 3E between 32nd and 40th Streets starts on November 25. Work is expected to take around two-months. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Drivers should expect delays during peak travel times.
