Earthquakes hit El Centro

A series of earthquakes hit El Centro Monday night.

Five earthquakes hit around 7:07 p.m. and lasted for about 20 minutes, according to the United States Geological Survey ( USGS ).

The most severe was a magnitude 4.0 earthquake, according to USGS .
