YPD: Yuma man shot in attempted homicide

The Yuma Police Department ( YPD ) is investigating an attempted homicide that sent a man to the hospital, Friday.

YPD officers responded to the 1100 block of south 9th Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

This case is still under investigation.
