National Bullying Awareness Prevention Month

In honor of National Bullying Awareness Prevention Month, we shed lighting on one local gym, BRAG who is helping the youth overcome challenges and those who’ve experienced trauma.

” You could think of the most horrible situations a kid could be in, we’ve had them from the typical bad grades in school, ” said Nicolas Soto, the Co-founder of the gym.

Bullies at school have verbally and physically abused Luis Chavez, an eight-grader at Desert Choice for several months while on the soccer and basketball team.

” They would tell me that I suck at sports and if we don’t win that they were gonna beat me up, ” said Chavez.

Chavez tells me he hopes to one day serve in the military with the dream of serving his country. If you would like to know more information on you can join the team at BRAG you can visit it’s Facebook page.
