4 Phoenix students evaluated after taking heart pills

Four students were taken to the hospital after taking what appeared to be heart pills on Thursday.

ABC 15 in Ariz., reports the four elementary school students took the pills on the school bus. Crews were dispatched to Moon Mountain Elementary School for an overdose call involving multiple patients.

Phoenix police said the six-year-old took the prescription pills from an adult family member and gave them to four other kids on their way to school.

ABC 15 reports a staff member notified the kids to the nurse’s office and called 911.

All the students were said to be alert, stable, and talking to emergency responders.

At this time police are investigating, but no criminal intent has been identified.
