Shooting under investigation near Express Market
Witnesses described ducking for cover as shots rang out late Saturday night in one Somerton intersection.
Somerton Police ( SPD ) said officers arrived at Somerton Ave. and Joshua Street at approximately 8: 43pm to investigate the shooting.
Witnesses explained what they heard.
“I heard three gunshots followed by four more and then it went silent,” said one witness who identified himself as Rafael. “Once we heard the rattle we didn’t even check the time we just ducked for cover.”
It is unknown at this time of there are any suspects in custody or if anyone is injured.
