A Mesa nail salon employee accused of molesting a 5-year-old

A mother said her son was molested by an employee at a nail salon in Mesa, Ariz. When authorities arrived on the scene, they said the security camera footage corroborated the woman’s story.

According to ABC 15, the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at Premier Nails and Spa near Ellsworth and Baseline roads. Police records show the boy’s mother had just finished getting her nails done when her son went to use the restroom.

ABC 15 reported that the boy was leaving the restroom when the suspect, 57-year-old Minh Hoa Truong reached out and grabbed the boy and pulled him close to his body.

According to the report, the boy’s mothers told police Truong was being playful with her son until she saw him putting his hands down his shorts.

After authorities viewed the video, it shows the boy squirming and dropping on the floor to get away.

During an interview with the police, the boy stated he tried to get away from Truong as he grabbed his arm and stuck his hand touching his genitals and “was moving it.”

ABC 15 stated Truong is facing multiple charges including molestation of a child.
