Non-profit depletes water supply for homeless people

The non-profit that helps feed homeless people in Calexico, Brown Bag Coalition (BBC) has depleted its supply of water bottles and Gatorade drinks.

During excessive days of heat BBC does water runs around Calexico to ensure homeless people are staying hydrated.

After hearing about the water shortage, Imperial Valley Transit decided to step up to the plate.

IV Transit is donating a pallet of water bottles and Gatorade to the non-profit.

BBC’s Co-Founder Maribel Padilla said this donation will allow the non-profit to continue doing its water runs through the rest of the summer.
