Man who raped Southern California toddlers gets 85 years
A registered sex offender who raped a 3-year-old girl in her San Diego home has been sentenced to 85 years in state prison.
Forty-seven-year-old Francisco Diaz was sentenced Monday.
Authorities say last August, Diaz broke into a neighbor’s Oak Park home and assaulted the toddler. When she cried out, he removed her from the house and was taking her to his home when the girl’s mother saw him.
A state website says Diaz was convicted in 2007 of annoying or molesting a child.
