Summer camp teaches children about agriculture

Arizona Western College hosted a CTE agriculture camp for children who have a deep interest in the agriculture industry.

Various CTE camps are set up throughout the college campus within various STEM subjects including: science, agriculture, 3-D printing, and public safety.

Sarah Berner and Leigh Loughead , professors of agriculture, taught the class which includes learning about irrigation, pest management, plant science, animal science, food safety, soils and technology.

The camp is being held from June 17 through June 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Arizona Western College Main Campus.

Those who register must me 13 years old or older.
