Suspect identified in Foothills barricade

UPDATE (8:00 a.m):

The suspect Somerton Police were looking for has been identified as Bryan Garcia. He was arrested on 9 charges, including attempted homicide in the second degree.

We are receiving reports of police activity at Frontage Road and Clementine Avenue in the Foothills area Wednesday evening.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is currently assisting the Somerton Police Department in the search of a suspect in the area. We have a reporter at the scene who has confirmed guns have been drawn by authorities.
