Suspect involved in donut scam arrested

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect involved in the donut scam has been arrested Wednesday.

Authorities confirmed 21-year-old Allison Denise, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center after reports of a donut scam happening in the community.

Authorities are asking for the community’s help after a woman on roller skates was caught on camera allegedly scamming people with donut orders.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) has received several reports involving a tall, white woman. She is described to be between 18 and 22 years of age and weighs approximately 80 pounds . The woman is believed to be going to people’s homes wearing roller skates selling pre-orders for Krispy Kreme donuts for a Ron Watson Middle School fundraiser involving a sibling.

According to YCSO, the woman takes the order, the money, and states she will return at a later date with the donuts.

Authorities have contacted Ron Watson Middle School who said there is no fundraiser taking place at their school.
