Yuma police looking for suspect accused of tagging public art

The Yuma Police Department is looking for at least one person who they believe damaged several public works of art by tagging them.

The Yuma Art Center posted a video shared by the Yuma Police Department on Wednesday. The video asks, ” Do you know this person or recognize this dog? ”

The post said that in the past few weeks the person has tagged dozens of locations in the downtown district including tagging five works of public art, among them the MOMO mural, the Bumblebee Loves You mural, and the mural on MGM Design by local artist Lia Littlewood .

The Yuma Art Center said fortunately they have been able to restore each work of art with only minor damages sustained; however they need the public’s help in sending a clear message that vandalism and graffiti are not welcome in our community.
