24-year-old woman arrested after allegedly smuggling $334K worth of meth

A 24-year-old woman was arrested at the Port of San Luis after she allegedly smuggled $334,000 worth of methamphetamine over the weekend.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the incident happened Saturday evening. A 24-year-old woman was referred to secondary inspection of her Ford SUV as she attempted to enter the United States. A narcotics’ detection canine alerted to the vehicle’s doors and rocker panels, leading officers to discover more than 100 packages. The packages weighed more than 111 pounds, and have an estimated value of more than $334,000.

Authorities seized the drugs, vehicle, and arrested the woman. She was then turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
