Motorcycle rider identified in fatal crash

The Yuma Police Department has identified the driver of the motorcycle crash as 31-year-old Frankie Javier Gonzalez.

Yuma police ( YPD ) said Gonzalez was riding a 1999 Honda VTR southbound in the 300 block of South Avenue 3E when he collided with a 65-year old man driving a 2003 Chevy pick-up truck on Tuesday morning.

According to YPD , Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene and the 65-year-old man was left uninjured.

A memorial service for Gonzalez will be held at Desert Valley Mortuary, located at 138 North Avenue B, at 2 p.m., Friday.
