Fire damages laundry room at Arizona Inn

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-The laundry room at Arizona Inn sustained damaged after a dryer was on fire, says the Yuma Fire Department (YFD).

The incident happened on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Arizona Inn located at 2655 South 4th Avenue. When firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire, it found heavy smoke coming from the laundry room. It says a double-stack dryer was on fire, and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

YFS says the fire started in the dryer.

The dryer and the room also sustained damage from the smoke.

No injuries were reported.

It says the fire did not spread beyond the laundry room.
