Yuma libraries now offering curbside service

Yuma County Library District making it easy to keep yourself entertained

Correction: Heritage Library at 3rd Street and 4th Avenue will not be offering curbside service.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY). Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the Stay-At-Home order is boredom, something the Yuma County Library District (YCDL) is looking to remedy. The district has just announced it will offer curbside service at all their locations.

Now, you can visit the YCDL website and search through its vast collection of books, movies and games to keep yourself entertained.

There is a catch, the service is only available to current library card holders. YCDL are not currently issuing any new library cards, but for the time being you can register and take advantage of their online resources.

"It's pretty easy to use, you go to our website, you go to the catalog and put items on hold that you'd like to have. We'll send you a notification based on your preferences, we'll send you a text message, an email of we will call you and once you receive the notification you can come and pick up your item".

No word yet on when Yuma's libraries will reopen to the public.
