Nearly 7,000 tests now conducted

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Health District (YCHD) confirms 25 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) Sunday, bringing the countywide total to 670.

This total includes 58 inmates from the Yuma Prison Complex.

Health officials report no additional deaths from the illness for Sunday, keeping the countywide death toll at 10.

Officials are not releasing any information on newest patients, nor are they providing details on the 10 deaths.

New statistics show the 20 to 44 age group continues to make-up the largest bulk of cases, still representing 41% of all cases countywide. The critical 65+ category continues to steadily grow, increasing by four patients to 115.

The latest report shows progress in terms of testing, with nearly 7,000 Yuma residents now screened.
