Imperial County coronavirus cases climb by 65

Nearly 5,000 people now tested

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Public Heath Department (ICPHD) confirmed 65 more cases of coronavirus Thursday evening. Unfortunately, they also announced another death.

712 Valley residents have now tested positive for the illness. The number of cases is climbing as health officials make more progress with testing. They've now screened nearly 5,000 people.

The number of people recovering from the virus is also growing. It's now surpassed 300.
