Five more cases of coronavirus in Yuma County

Nearly 800 people now tested for virus countywide

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Health District (YCHD) confirmed five more cases of coronavirus Tuesday. That brings the total number of cases countywide to 72.

YCHD is not releasing any personal details about the newest patients. However, new numbers indicate they include two women, and three men. One patient is younger than 20-years-old. Another is between 20 and 44. Two are between the ages of 45 and 58. The final patient is older than 60.

Arizona currently has 6,948 cases of coronavirus. The illness has killed 293 people across the state, including one person in Yuma County.

The County and City of Yuma remain under a stay-at-home order through May 3, 2020. Still no word on if local leaders plan to lift all, or a portion of current restrictions, after that date has passed.
