3M announces $7 billion settlement in PFAS case

(CNN, KYMA) - 3M said it has reached a more than $7 billion deal to settle personal injury claims related to so-called forever chemicals.

It said more than a 100,000 plaintiffs are eligible to participate.

Their attorneys claim they were exposed to PFAS via drinking water or firefighting foam. They also alleged they suffered health impacts, including some forms of cancer.

3M said the settlement is not an admission of liability.
