Toyota recalls 30,000 Hybrid RAV4 SUVs

(CNN, KYMA) - More than 30,000 Toyota vehicles have been recalled due to a software issue that could cause the car to shut down.

The recall affects the 2026 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the software issue could cause the hybrid system to reduce power or even shut down when driven at higher speeds.

As a result, the issue could increase the risk of a crash.

Toyota dealers will update the software for free, and owners will be notified by early December.
